Popular dolphin makes big splash for underwater snapper

   Portland diver lands top photography prize for 'Danny' image.
Danny the Dolphin is a bit of a local celebrity and is frequently spotted off the Dorset coast particularly in Weymouth Bay. Such is Danny's popularity, nearly 3,000 members have signed up to his personal Facebook page. Last April, Portland diver Colin Garrett took a photo of the friendly dolphin during their first underwater encounter. On Saturday, at the Go Diving Show in Coventry, the photo was announced as the winning image in the 'British Waters Compact Category'.
